Ukraine: West against the East

Video: The rebellion in Ukraine against a corrupt regime and a crooked election remains front page news. For eight centuries Ukrainians have lived under the oppressive rules of both Poland and Russia. Since 1991 and the fall of Communism, Ukraine has been an independent and troubled nation. Poverty and corruption are everywhere. The tension between those who want to ally with the West and those who desire to keep their connection to Russia is very high. Civil war can break out momentarily.
