John Paul II: Transforming the Papacy

Video: The first Polish Pole, Karol Wotyla, became one of the greatest Popes of modern times. John Paul II transformed the papacy by becoming a media star, traveling the globe and utilizing the power of televisioni. His charismatic personality inspired many people who did not share his conservative theological perspective. Despite his popularity he was very controversial because he tried to restrain the liberal impusles of Vatican Council II. What were his real achievements? What is his real legacy?
