Rise and Fall of the Muslim World: From Power to Poverty

Video: At the beginning of the second millennium, the center of world power lay in the Muslim world. The Christian world of Europe was on the defensive. The Chinese empire in the east was collapsing under the assault of external enemies. Islam seemed to be the triumphant wave of the future. But the succeeding centuries witnessed the dramatic decline of this power. What were the seeds of self-destruction in the Muslim world?
