Britain After the Election: Europe or Isolation?

Tony Blair called for a new election in May. In recent years his wild success has been assaulted by public anger and disillusionment. His support of the war in Iraq, his betrayal of socialism, his championship of the European Union and his refusal to yield power to his popular finance minister Gordon Brown turned many former followers against him. Michael Howard, the lackluster leader of the Conservatives has been gaining ground. What will the British decide? Will they opt for Europe or separation?
