Psychiatry in Trouble: The Fall From Power

Video: Psychotherapy and psychiatry are in crisis. At one time they reigned supreme in the eyes of the intellectual and business establishments. But the pharmacological revolution, which has replaced talk therapy with drug therapy, has undermined the credibility of conventional counseling. The new convection that much of neurotic and psychotic behavior has oxalic roots is forcing psychiatry to rethink its role and its procedures.
