Video: The Liberals in Canada seemed invulnerable. They dominated Parliament. They had increased their power in the provinces. They had successfully pushed aside the Quebec separatists and re-affirmed a united Canada. They controlled the courts. They had great hopes for their new prime minister Paul Martin. They had successfully defied the foreign policy of President Bush. But then everything collapsed. Scandal has undermined public confidence. The new Conservatives are moving in for the kill.
